These photographs were made in various desert terrain of California, where scale is vast but activity is minimal. The landscape is defined less by landmarks than by spacing. Distance between forms, light settling across open ground, and the subtle geometry created by roads, ridgelines, and erosion.

Rather than emphasizing spectacle, the work holds attention at the threshold between stillness and change. Color, shadow, and terrain are allowed to speak without intervention, preserving the quiet tension present in the place itself.

This series reflects the high desert as a space of restraint and clarity; unoccupied, unhurried, and shaped by time rather than movement. Images intended to be lived with, not glanced past.
